Under The Scorching Sun | Short Documentary
'Under the Scorching Sun' is a short documentary exploring climate change's impact on Chennai’s working-class population.
The film was initiated, produced, and directed by Prathap Ramamurthy, an associate professor at the City College of New York (Mechanical Engineering) and the CUNY Graduate Center (Earth and Environmental Sciences), and a Faculty Affiliate at NOAA-CESSRST Center.
Co-directed by Jagannath Radhakrishnan, the documentary was filmed in August 2023 using visual and infrared cameras, with funding from the Urban Fluid Dynamics Labs.
